Chivi Rural District Council Chairperosn Killer Zivhu has come up with multiple projects that are meant to benefit Chivi South in the nose diving economic situation and striking hunger.
Zivhu said he is being guided by the national Zim – Asset blueprint to aide his home area in the best way possible.
“I believe in the government initiative, the village Zim Asset and I see it as way of creating a new look in our villages. As a result I have come up with the dripping irrigation which is water efficient and I am planning to grow tomatoes that my villagers would come and collect for them to sell and earn money for their upkeep and probably send their children to school.
I am also erecting a fish pond which I am expecting to harvest at least 4000kgs of fish monthly and this will also help my villagers” said Zivhu
Once convicted of fraud, Zivhu has also engaged in charity work in his village by sending under privileged children to school, even up to college level an initiative he started alone before the western donors intervened. Currently he is sending over 450 children to school in his village and also other parts of the country.
